Soft furnishings are the finishing touches that bring warmth, texture, and personality to a space. This module helps students understand their role in creating cohesive, inviting interiors.

  • Types of soft furnishings: curtains, blinds, cushions, rugs, and throws
  • Fabric selection and coordination
  • Pattern, texture, and layering techniques
  • Drapery design and window treatments
  • Styling principles for residential and commercial interiors

Upon successful completion of all modules, assignments, and the final design project, students are awarded the Professional Certificate in Interior Design from Design Tactics Academy — a mark of creativity, competence, and professionalism.

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will have developed the creative, technical, and professional skills required to thrive in the interior design industry both locally and internationally.

Graduates of this course will be able to:

Applicants are expected to possess:

  • A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and any relevant Art or Science subjects.
  • A genuine interest in art, design, and creative problem-solving.
  • Basic computer literacy (no prior design software experience required).
  • Students are required to have a PC laptop computer, loaded with Adobe creative suite, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, Cohoom and individual internet modems.
